Position Summary: As the Healthcare Manager On Duty, you will be pivotal in overseeing the hospital’s operational activities during your shift. You will ensure the smooth coordination of patient care services, manage staff arrangements, and respond to emergencies with agility and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:- Clinical Rounds: Conduct detailed ward rounds, assess patient care, and ensure all healthcare services meet the highest standards.
- Staff Coordination: Work with the Nursing Supervisor to arrange adequate staffing, particularly for emergency surgeries and critical care units.
- Dormitory Oversight: Inspect dormitory facilities, ensuring comfort and readiness for patient admissions.
- Ambulance Services: Coordinate ambulance logistics to ensure timely patient transportation and readiness for emergencies.
- Emergency Room and ICU Management: Oversee ER services and manage ICU bed assignments to optimize patient flow and care.
- Admissions and Financial Counseling: Facilitate the admissions process and provide billing information and counseling to patients and their families for ICU services.
- On-Call Doctor Scheduling: Arrange on-call doctor schedules to ensure medical staff is available for patient emergencies during night shifts.
- Data Management: Maintain comprehensive records of patient details and ensure accuracy in reporting for continued patient care.
- Emergency Operating Theatre Coordination: Ensure the operating theatres are primed for emergency surgeries, coordinating with surgical teams as needed.
- Crisis Management: Act as the primary point of contact for any issues or emergencies, reporting to the concerned authority and mobilizing resources to resolve issues promptly.
